Greg Marret, CPA
Partner, Client services
Greg, a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Financial Planner, has experience in a variety of industries including oil and gas exploration, construction manufacturing, not-for-profit entities, distribution and services. Prior to founding Marret and Company, Greg was a partner with a regional accounting firm. Greg has provided a wide range of services for his clients which includes financial audits and tax preparation services. He has worked with clients on annual and quarterly reporting for private and public companies, initial public stock offerings, financing agreements and to address other significant tax and business issues. Greg is a graduate of Murray State University with an emphasis in accounting and business administration.
Greg has lived in the Knoxville community for over twenty years. He is a board member of the Knoxville Botanical Gardens, has participated with Junior Achievement education programs and is actively involved as an Elder in his church community.
David W. Jones, CPA, CGMA
Partner, Attest Services
David has nine years of experience providing audit and assurance services to clients in the construction, real estate development, manufacturing and distribution, logistics, and retail industries, as well as to governmental and not-for-profit organizations. In addition to those industries, David also provided audit services to a Major League Baseball team and its affiliated entities. He also performs audits on various types of employee benefit plans.
Prior to joining Marret and Company, David worked for two regional accounting firms providing the services mentioned above as well as working with large construction clients on special disaster recovery projects and consulting engagements.
David also worked in the financial and operational audit department for TVA's Office of the Inspector General conducting performance audits in accordance with GAGAS. David's experience with TVA includes audits of nuclear construction, capital project management, risk management, and financial services. David also aided in the Office of the Inspector General's oversight of TVA's annual external financial statement audit.
David is a member of the Board of Directors of the Bijou Theatre and previously served as a Loaned Executive for the United Way of Greater Knoxville’s community fundraising campaign.
David earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting from the University of Tennessee.
